Software Engineer, Front End

IdeaPipe is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the team. The position is full-time and is based in our main office in Malvern, PA. There are minimal travel requirements for this position.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide code optimization recommendations
  • Prototype and implement optimization techniques
  • Benchmark existing code and enhancements
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Code primarily in ASP.NET
  • Secondary coding responsibilities are in JavaScript and FBML.
  • Interface with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
  • Identify and communicate best practices

Requirements:

  • Adept knowledge of the .NET API
  • Experience building ASP.NET applications and frameworks
  • Basic knowledge of ASP.NET internals and .NET architecture
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering preferred

Software Engineer, Platform

IdeaPipe is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the team. The position is full-time and is based in our main office in Malvern, PA. There are minimal travel requirements for this position.

  • Secondary coding responsibilities are in JSON, XML, and common REST practices for our SaaS model.
  • Interface with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
  • Identify and communicate best practices

  • In depth knowledge of ASP.NET internals and .NET architecture

Data Center Engineer

IdeaPipe is seeking a Data Center Engineer to join the Site Operations Team. This position is full-time and will be based in one of our Bay Area data center facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Install new servers, switches, routers, and storage hardware
  • Assist in coordination of data center tasks and resolving machine repairs tickets
  • Understand and debug network related issues on network hardware as well as the OS
  • Develop and maintain server automation and installation tools
  • Create documentation to streamline and improve upon data center best practices
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, plan, and implement changes.

Requirements:

  • Experience in data center deployment and building scaling infrastructure
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, security, HTTP, LDAP, Windows 2008, IIS 7.0, and SQL Server.
  • Knowledgeable in Data center practices (i.e. cable routing, calculating power usage)
  • Experience working with server/network hardware
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift/move 20-30 lbs on a daily basis
  • Off-hours coverage.

Copy Editor

The main focus of a Copy Editor at IdeaPipe is to drive and monitor messaging and how IdeaPipe speaks to its users about its product. Providing the “voice of IdeaPipe” at every level, from the blog to the error messages, falls to the collaborative work of this team with virtually every part of the company. The copy editor will report in to the senior management. This position is full-time and based in Malvern, PA.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute on strategic style and voice across IdeaPipe.com and branded sites.
  • Drive messaging direction and language for specific products and native applications
  • Work with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to create all necessary copy pre and post-launch of new products
  • Act as consultant with teams across the company to ensure a consistent Facebook voice
  • Provide editorial feedback for blog posts related to assigned projects

Requirements:

  • A BA/BS with at least a minor in English, communications, or a related field
  • Technical fluency and interest in technology
  • A talent for and interest in writing clear prose
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • An interest in working in diverse areas of the company and with many different partners
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to drive consensus and problem solve
  • Great patience and a good attitude towards coworkers

Product Manager

IdeaPipe is looking for talented Product Managers to coordinate the conceptual and technical development of new product initiatives. This position is full time and based in our main offices in Malvern, PA.

Responsibilities:

  • Write specifications, prioritize features, build consensus and coordinate product schedules with a team of world-class engineers
  • Facilitate communication throughout the development process between a variety of internal teams including operations, PR, customer support, executive, and others
  • Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to ensure products satisfy customer needs
  • Understand IdeaPipe’s strategic and competitive position, and work to define and deliver the best products which maintain, shape, and improve that position
  • Inform the roadmap with new, justifiable ideas to enhance existing functionality or introduce new features
  • Maximize efficiency in a constantly changing and growing environment where the process is fluid and creative and unique solutions are desired

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field (MS or Ph.D. is a plus)
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills
  • Exceptional technical abilities and ability to work with engineers
  • Statistics background or strong skills in data analysis (familiarity with SQL is a plus)
  • Demonstrated skills in gathering requirements, organizing resources, and schedule risk management
  • Understanding of social applications and media products, or the ability to quickly learn
  • Experience developing Internet products, technologies and platforms is strongly desired
