What is Ideapipe

Until now, spreading the word about your group or organization and getting feedback from others hasn’t been easy.  Corporations have spent millions on time-consuming market research, focus groups and other efforts to discover how their consumers think and what motivates them.  IdeaPipe is an exciting new social medium that enables companies, groups, associations and even individuals to share their ideas, gather feedback and collaborate with one another. How it Works

IdeaPipe is simple and easy to use as it utilizes paradigms that are becoming increasingly familiar to users of the web. Here’s how it works: registered users begin by entering their ideas onto the site. Once posted, other visitors to the site can read ideas and give them a positive “bump” if they like them or a negative bump if they don’t. Users also have the opportunity to add to ideas by providing comments, insights or even criticisms. Using a mechanism similar to that made popular by sites like Digg.com, popular ideas, as measured by user feedback, float to the top while unpopular ideas float to the bottom.

A New Social Platform

IdeaPipe is more than just a destination, it is a platform.  Built on enterprise-class infrastructure, IdeaPipe employs a service-oriented architecture that enables the deployment of branded, “powered-by IdeaPipe” sites that incorporate the entire feature set of IdeaPipe.  Registration to IdeaPipe and powered-by sites is easy as we have joined forces with some of the largest account providers on the Internet including Facebook, Yahoo and others as an alternative means of handling the login process for user accounts.

To further extend the reach of IdeaPipe powered sites, we’ve recently introduced a full-featured IdeaPipe Facebook application that will help users extend their reach by leveraging the viral nature of social networking.

Applications for IdeaPipe are virtually limitless and include customer feedback and support for corporations, fund raising and awareness campaigns for non-profit organizations, public awareness and participation for government agencies and student, parent and alumni collaboration within education.
